Walker International (Taiwan) was founded in August 1980 and is currently one of Taiwan's leading fruit importers and exporters. Over nearly 40 years, the company has expanded its business across every continent, maintaining close partnerships with counterparts in China, Japan, Korea, the United States, Canada, France, New Zealand, Australia, Chile, South Africa, and Southeast Asia. To provide comprehensive services, Walker has continually expanded into diverse industries including hardware and agricultural machinery exports, Japanese organic microbial product distribution, wine trading, and O2O retail. In 2010, Walker began vertical industry integration by establishing a subsidiary, Walker Fresh House, and building an organic packaging facility. Through its organic retail experience, the company gained deep insight into consumer demand for food safety. In early 2018, Walker partnered with National Tsing Hua University's BIIC Lab, aiming to use AI-driven automation for traceability management and to enhance the international competitiveness of Taiwanese fruit. Previously, Walker relied on a customized ERP system but lacked a complete digital operations framework, which could not keep pace with the company's growth and evolving business model. Through the SAP system implementation, Walker built a complete, rigorous, and traceable workflow system, resulting in an agile, comprehensive, and transparent digital operations platform.
