SHANGHAI, August 22, 2026 — The SAP Business One Asia Pacific and Japan Partner Enablement Event was held at SAP Labs China in Zhangjiang, Shanghai, from August 17 to 20. Shanghai MTC Information Technology Co., Ltd. (MTC) attended as one of four invited partners from mainland China and shared its work on AI applications for SAP Business One as a partner representative.
The event brought together SAP Business One business leaders, R&D teams and partners from across the region to discuss product updates, customer adoption and ecosystem innovation. SAP outlined recent product progress and future plans, while MTC shared how AI is being applied in enterprise management.

SAP Business One advances its product roadmap
SAP reviewed development progress for version 2608 and plans for version 2702, covering business processes, analytics and extensibility. The updates focus on simplifying day-to-day work and making operational information easier to use.
WebClient was among the product updates highlighted at the event. Based on SAP Fiori design principles, it gives users browser-based access to more SAP Business One functions, reduces desktop installation and maintenance, and provides a consistent experience across locations. The browser-based approach also makes it easier to bring AI capabilities into SAP Business One.
Partners and local R&D work together for customers
Case discussions and hands-on sessions helped partners understand the new releases and consider how they could support customers in practice. As partners work with customers, they also bring needs from different industries and markets back to SAP’s R&D team.

Justin Ho, SAP Business One Business Lead for Asia Pacific, said SAP will continue to invest in the product. The SAP Business One R&D team in Zhangjiang, Shanghai, has more than 100 people and will continue to strengthen its local focus in China, drawing on customer feedback and partner experience to improve the product. Close collaboration between local R&D and partners helps keep product development aligned with the operating needs of Chinese companies.

MTC shares AI applications as a partner representative
Representing partners at the event, MTC shared its latest work on bringing AI into SAP Business One. The applications support everyday business activities and management analysis within a company’s existing SAP Business One environment.
Using orders, documents and management analysis as examples, MTC showed how AI can recognize business information, help prepare documents, and present data and analysis through natural-language interaction. These examples are only part of MTC’s current work; the same capabilities can also support sales, purchasing, inventory, finance and other business areas.
MTC also highlighted its deep technical collaboration with SAP Labs China. The two teams have integrated the relevant AI applications into SAP Business One WebClient, allowing users to access AI capabilities within SAP Business One’s existing authorization and approval framework.

Working with SAP to create value for customer transformation
More than 83,000 customers in over 170 countries and regions now use SAP Business One.
Following the event, MTC will continue to track SAP Business One product updates, bring new product and AI capabilities to customers, and support adoption in line with each organization’s business needs.
Looking ahead, MTC will continue to pursue joint innovation with SAP and SAP Labs China, delivering products and services that respond to customer needs, improve operational efficiency and management decision-making, and support long-term digital and AI-enabled transformation.
